The Communications and Fundraising committees work together to develop, communicate and deliver related programs.
Communications guides the messaging and shares this with a variety of audiences from newcomers to long-standing friends and supporters. Promotions are carried out through Legacy’s website, social media and the news media.
Fundraising plans, coordinates and implements fundraising endeavours that support Legacy’s projects and activities. It advises the Board on fundraising strategies and works with sponsors and funders.
The Governance, Government Relations and Finance committees advise the board relative to their subject matter knowledge and guide the society and its growth and function.
The Conservation committee advises and receives input from the Board on all matters related to conservation planning, conservation easements and other land protection and stewardship initiatives. They guide and support staff on conservation policy and project delivery.
